I’m in charge of Entertainment for the Saffron Christmas Breakfast.

December 1, 1964, Tuesday

Went to the Saffron Meeting, first one with new members. We were really wild tonight! I was fined about 5 times for talking. We’re giving a breakfast for our Mothers and I’m in charge of entertainment. I’m going to do a Christmas Show, with dolls around the tree and Santa. We’re the dolls who come alive and dance and sing. If it works out it will be great, but I know nobody will work and I will wind up doing my Walking Ugly Skit. (A satire on Sleeping Beauty.) We went to Fosters after the meeting and I was in the greatest mood, but,  I’ll probably wish I hadn’t taken the job, because I’ll most likely be sick.

Do you remember when we went to pick up the ” dandelions ” the wives of the Lions for breakfast? It was a surprise and they were surprised! We thought it was cute some of these old 40 yr. olds wore sexy nightgowns. Lol

I was trying to remember the name of the wives. I hope when the diary gets to that day it will mention it, I totally forgot it. Thanks so much Marilyn for leaving a comment.
