If Mommy stops me from going out with Howard I will make her pay!

January 31, 1964, Friday, Boring Night

Mommy took me to school. Most of my friend’s stayed home. We didn’t do anything all day cause it was the last day of the semester. Drew “Murphy pictures,” of all my friends on the blackboard in Burke’s class. They were so funny. Lauri drove me home. It was terrible. First, Mommy is trying to make me write 200 times, “I love my mother.” I got real mad and told her she was Nuts. She told me I wasn’t going out with Howard tomorrow. If she stopped me I’d make her pay for it real bad!  Cause I refuse to me treated like a baby! Shelia left Culver, had to go to Venice High School. I’ll miss her so much. Had to stay home and take care of Billee and Preston, real boring night.
