Sometimes my Dad can be so unkind to my Mother, It makes me sad.

December 23, 1964, Wednesday

Worked all day, it’s really getting tough these last days of Christmas. Everybody’s doing there last minute shopping and we’re just going crazy with wrapping. I got off for a break and Mom picked me up. She was very upset with Daddy. He’s giving her a lot of trouble about spending too much money. Now she’s taking back everything she got for herself. She went home crying and I took the car back to work. I picked up a few things for her. I wish I could buy her the best of everything and Daddy too! I’m going to do my best for Christmas. I love them so much!!

My mother, five years later, in 1970.  I miss both my parents everyday and only wish I could have appreciated all they did for me all my life.
