Surfers, Drummers and guy’s with convertibles got the girl

January 27, 1964 (Finals) Hard and fun day)

Lauri drove me and Marilyn to school. Finals were hard. Took two of them for two hours each. Got out of school at 12:30. Drove Marilyn home. Then we went to Dorsey High. I don’t know why I did it. Rose Blincker said she saw Howard at a dance, he asked about me, this was before he called me. Got in Fred’s, World lit class again and had to pretend I was taking the final, even though I didn’t even go to that school. Left Dorsey after 5th period. Left final I took on Mikes car. Said give my love to Fred. I had written Howard all over the paper, as a hint, Ha Ha!) We went out to lunch at Woody’s, then up to Westchester High and saw Ernie. He was mad when I told him I was going to school with Howard instead of him. Went to some girls house. Then home. Nana and Jean and Al came over, uncle Al got a new Cadillac. Howard called. I’m going out with him Saturday. He say’s he’ll let me drive his car. A convertible GTO with the hood off so the engine shows. (unbelievable he’d let me drive it.)
