Can’t wait until Christmas is over, so I can be done working two jobs

December 20, 1964, Sunday

I was just too tired to go to work at Jack’s Ranch Market and bag groceries this morning. My sister Donna took my place. I stayed home all day, didn’t even get dressed, just watched TV and ate. I’m getting fat again, going on a diet to lose 5 lbs by Christmas. I don’t know why? I haven’t got anyone to look good for anyway. I sure wish someone good would ask me out, like Byron, but that’s out of the question I guess. All the kids got to Mammoth by 1:00 today. They’re going to have a ball. I should have gone, DARN!

Well all the energy I put into looking for guys, I’m now putting into two jobs, so I can give my family Christmas presents with my own money.  It’s the first time I’ve ever worked and my feet are killing me.  Once Christmas is over I will be done working, but until then, I’m working 9 – 5.
