Guy’s don’t like competition, they want to be #1 in their girl’s life.

May 10, 1964, Monday. Jack calls but Dave doesn’t

I did my Play review, wasn’t too good, I could have done so much better. Doing it Thursday for another class. After school Donna and I went to Modeling. We did figure and visual poise. I find it hard to walk right. I sure hope I improve. And, I’m so fat I hate myself. When I came home Jack called for the third time. He’s so cute, he answers saying, “Hi Buddy.” I think I like him more than Dave, who didn’t even call me and I bet he was over at Jacks. He’s so funny/strange, I can’t tell if he likes me or not.… He probably likes Marilyn Collier better. She looks so good after losing 13 pounds.

Maybe the issue was, Dave didn’t know where he stood with me.  I was nice to him, but he was aware I flirted with all the guys.  I bet he was testing me by having Jack call to see if I’d go out with his friend.  Could it be he was going after my friend Marilyn to make me jealous.  He didn’t like the whole Modeling thing.  Guy’s don’t like competition, they want to be #1.
