I’m being considered for a part in the TV Series, “Mr. Novak”

July 10, 1964, Friday. Saw Byron, his band is playing in the Valley

Pearl, Dianne and I went to Toes, but nobody was there. The beach was so ugly. it’s got big things running across it. Greg, Morry and Phil came and talked to us. All the guys were at the Culver Pool…. Can you believe it!!… When we were leaving, Byron drove up and said he was playing in Encino and told me to come. I didn’t go because I don’t want to think I’m following him. Pearl stayed all night. We just watched TV. My face is so sunburned it’s got blisters. I don’t know what to do. Mr Richmen called and said there going to use me on the “Mr. Novak” series.

The series centered on the life of Novak, student-teacher relationships, and the struggles of other young teachers.  I would just be one of the kids in his class, but still it would get my foot in the door.  Stay tuned to see if I get the part or sabotage it like I did with the MGM Audition.

Here is a clip from Mr Novak, showing High School Kids in the beginning of the show.  This is what I would have been doing at first.
