I feel so cheap when I’m with the Surfers at Toes. I need to rethink my dating choices

August 16, 1964, Sunday. Went to Toes and to Bob’s Big Boy in the Valley

We wanted to go to Newport Beach, but we all got up too late. Sandy and Dianne Block and my sister Donna and I went to Toes and at at the Flying Jib. We saw Jack, but he was leaving, so didn’t get to talk to him. I hate those boys down there, I feel so cheap when I’m with them. Howard must still be in Santa Cruz. Jack and Phil are going there Wednesday. Sandy and I were supposed t meet some young Doctors tonight, but they never came by. We drove to Bob’s, but there weren’t as many kids there this time. Some guys were throwing things at us and one, one was darling and he asked Sandy out, but after talking to him, we thought he was weird. He was only 17 and stuttered.

saffrons rule feel-cheapI sleep until noon, I don’t have a job like most of my friends, I take diet pills and starve and stuff and I hate the guys at Toes I’ve dated…..All they want is my body and if I don’t give it to them, they stop calling and asking me out. What’s wrong with this picture?
