I imagine my boyfriends thought my 15 year old Surfer Girl Sister was pretty cute, but hoped she didn’t “Do What Her Big Sister Done”…..(Elvis)

April 12, 1964, Sunday. What a great day, 3 boys came over. I don’t like Doug Cooper anymore. I like Dave Kendal.

Laid out in the sun to get a tan and got real burned. Took the phone off the hook, because it kept ringing and I had to run in the house to answer it. I went up the hill to Lauri’s and laid in the sun by her pool. We went to get junk for my hair, then washed it.  While I was setting it, Doug and Gary came over. I almost died, because I looked so ugly with no makeup, my hair set and still in my robe. I Finally let them in, but they had to wait in the living room for a half hour until I got dressed.  We went to get my sister Donna her surfboard. I Fixed them some frozen Mexican dinners. Doug likes me too much….now I don’t like him at all. I found out he is younger than me and that bothers me too much to like him as a boyfriend. Bet he loves me like Ernie did. He bought me a record. Then I got the shock of my life… Dave Kendal came over and he and Doug asked me out for Saturday night. So did Al and John. I’m going out with Doug Friday, so I’ll go out with Dave K. on Saturday. I really like Dave K. Doug’s coming over tomorrow.

My little sister Donna observed 5 guys ask me out in one day.  She also saw me blow them off, kiss them off and twist them around my little finger.  I imagine my boyfriends thought my 15 year old Surfer Girl sister was pretty cute, but hoped she didn’t do what her Big Sister Done…..
